Like most small rescue groups Amazing Dogs does not receive any federal or state aid. Our only source of income are the adoption fees that we charge.
These funds are desperately needed to cover the costs of the 100+ dogs that are in our care. The diagram below will give you some idea of what we spend on a healthy dog prior to adoption. But, most of the dogs that we rescue have been abandoned and left without proper care and need additional medical support to help them recover. These costs can run into the thousands.
Our adoption fee is $400 regardless of the breed or age of the dog or puppy.
All funds go towards the care of the 100+ dogs in our shelter.
Fees for dogs with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
Along with daily care costs, the adoption fees help Amazing Dogs cover vaccination and medical prep costs for the dogs.
We do everything to ensure the health of our dogs before they are placed up for adoption, which includes:
All adult dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption unless our veterinarian advises against this for medical reasons.
When puppies change environment, the stress caused by this might cause some diarrhea or other issues. Upon adoption we will give you the medication to deal with this as well.
