Meet Charlie. This boy has had a very rough start in life. Abandoned in the streets of Tijuana, he was left to fend for himself. Sadly, his shy nature made him a target for aggressive dogs, and he was attacked. That’s when we got the call for help from a Good samaritan asking for assistance in rescuing him. Charlie was found with bite wounds, and a case of démodéx. A form of non contagious mange brought on by weakened immunity. Charlie had lost most of his fur. Amazing Dogs immediately took him in for treatment, and through a long recovery period, today Charlie is a very handsome , and healthy boy, with all of his fur grown back.
I spent a couple hours with him recently, and what I saw is a dog that needs a lot of TLC to regain his self confidence. Within a short time he was practically in my lap, and I could see the gentle soul within.
